Peio 3000 - Mount Taviela (3612 m) - Mount Vioz (3644 m) - Doss Cembri (2400 m).
The new cableway "Peio 3000" will take you to the beginning of this excursion, where you will start walking up to Mount Taviela, a spectacular peak in mid of the famous "13 peaks" crossing. Once on the top you’ll get a magnificent view on Mount Grand Zebrù, the Adamello Brenta Group and even the Dolomites! From here the last and spectacular ascent to the top of Vioz (3644 m) begins, reaching a natural terrace from which you can enjoy a majestic view on the entire valley.
Now an easy path down from the top leads to the refuge Vioz, the highest in the Eastern Alps, where you can have a hot drink or eat a good dish before returning down. The difficulties of this excursion are never exaggerated and make it suitable even for those who have never climbed. The important thing is not being afraid of heights because the exposure and the surrounding environment is typical of the high mountain!
Due to the length and the height difference it’s recommended for people who have a good physical condition (it’s about 7 hours walking with 1000 meters of elevation gain). Besides, it can be a good way to understand how soldiers were fighting during World War I, as these peaks were the stage were the highest battles of Human History were fought.
